Unterföhring, March 2, 2010. The restructuring of German Free TVs all-station content unit for Information on SAT.1, ProSieben and kabel eins is now complete. Effective immediately, Marc Rasmus, 36, will be Vice President in charge of Docutainment & Reality, a position where Katja Hofem-Best has been filling in temporarily alongside her work as Senior Vice President Factual at German Free TV and Managing Director at sixx.
Docutainment & Reality includes prime time shows like Toto & Harry and Die strengsten Eltern der Welt, along with daily docu-soaps (including We are Family!).

Rasmus joins the Company from Discovery Networks Deutschland, where he has been a programming director since October 2006, in charge of the production and purchasing of programming content for all station platforms (including DMAX, Discovery Channel, Discovery Geschichte, Discovery HD, Animal Planet, VOD platforms, IPTV). Before that, the Berlin native worked at RTL II, initially as Producer for Entertainment & Development (2000-2003). In 2003 he was appointed Vice-Manager for Entertainment, and in 2006 he became Manager for Entertainment, with responsibilities that included development and production in the nonfiction programming segment, especially in Factual Entertainment, Infotainment, and Reality or Real People Programming.
